The original decision to give videoMaru away instead of charging a small fee was very hard. In the end I’m sure that I made the right decision by donating it to the Flash community. The feedback and recognition have been very rewarding.

The tips that I receive enable me to cut back on my freelance work and put more time into enhancing videoMaru even more and providing troubleshooting to the videoMaru users.
