Interface Controls
The Interface Controls are the heart of video.Maru. They are what allow you to create custom video interfaces, with a play/pause and stop buttons, timeline and playhead, volume controls, and just about anything else you might need without writing code. You just design, give instance names and video.Maru takes care of the rest.
Here’s a list of the pages that cover everything you need to know to use all of the visual elements that video.Maru supports:
- First off you must have a videoWindow
- The basic playback controls: play/pause and stop
- Create a timeline and playhead with an optional progressBar
- Add volume controls
- A few miscelaneous controls: startPlay, back#, loop, buffer, smoothing…
- The various TextFields to display time played
- Get fancy with masks and reflections
- Build in some navigation between videos
- Go fullScreen
- Add captions
- And maybe put some controls in a fadeTray so you don’t have to look at them all the time
